It was already dawn
But, the shadows remained
The birds chirped their song
Still, the soul lay tired
I set out from the tropics
To a far away northern land
Remembered old chores that said
“Some never made home
On this way to heaven”
I wanted to fly higher
Get deep into the stream
But my wings got tired
It was an arctic winter !
But all along the way
Mere faint reflections
Saw buds of new wings
Taking their roots
On this way to heaven
And did someone ever see
Me, write on my journey
Through the cold arctic winter
Till life took it’s turn
This Summer !
